Work That Matters. Overview**This position is Remote. Candidates
must reside in California.**Purpose Statement/Position Summary: The
Biostats Core provides specialized consultation services, including
consultations, research design, grant planning, and data
collection. The Manager, Research Lab is responsible for managing
core laboratory functions including designing and implementing
research projects. Will conduct a wide variety of non-routine
and/or complicated laboratory procedures, and/or oversee multiple
projects within the core. Will provide expertise on specialized
equipment, services, and techniques to researchers while driving
usage to the core through outreach. Responsible for the
administration of budgetary and financial aspects of the core to
maintain its operational viability. Will also provide functional
supervision, training and performance evaluation to assigned
laboratory personnel.Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience: 4+
year's progressively more complex laboratory experience, including
supervisory experience. Develops conceptual statistical models and
research designs based on sound statistical principles. Utilizes
data from existing division, hospital, and other research databases
for statistical analysis using SAS, R, or other appropriate
statistical analysis applications highly preferred. Training
statistical and design concepts to team members, research staff and
faculty preferred. Assists faculty and staff in determining
research project plans, procedures and methodologies
preferred.Education/Licensure/Certification: Bachelor's degree in a
scientific field. Master's degree in a scientific field preferred.
Pay Scale Information$84,656.00-$152,506.00 CHLA values the
contribution each Team Member brings to our organization. Final
determination of a successful candidate's starting pay will vary
based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to
education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay
scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that
meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this
specific job description. Additional pay may be determined for
those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and
